How to be involved!

Six years ago, we had a little over $259,000 in grant funding to help us do this work. This year, that number is $109,352. The need for our services has not gone down, but our funding has, little by little, each year. That is a drop of more than 57%.

Every day, we get to sit with kids in Chambers, Clay, Coosa, Randolph, and Tallapoosa Counties who have been through something no child should have to go through, and we get to be the safe place where they tell their story just once, to someone who's trained to really listen. We walk alongside their families. We coordinate with mental health, law enforcement, DHR, prosecutors, and doctors so parents don't have to navigate all of that on their own. And we've never charged a family a cent for any of it, because that's not who we are.

Even when funding slows down, the bills do not. Rent, utilities, supplies, insurance, and the gas required to reach families in three counties are all part of keeping our doors open. These costs keep coming, no matter what. Our funding cycle ends every September, and the next round doesn't begin until March. That means for six months out of every year, doing everything we can to stretch what we have so we never have to turn a child away.

It's a gap we've learned to plan for, but it also weighs on us every single year. Sponsorships like these often help us bridge that stretch and keep our doors open.

If your business is in a position to help, would you consider becoming a $1,000 Annual Business Sponsor this year? We know this is a significant commitment, and we are deeply grateful for any support. As a thank-you, we would love to recognize your business on our website and inside the Center and honor you as a Community Champion for Children.

What matters most to us is making sure these kids continue to get the care and support they deserve.
If this is something you or your business might consider, we'd love to hear from you. You can reach Jaci Burgess, our Executive Director, at 334-885-1607 or burgessj@tri-co-cac.org.

We are so grateful for this community and for everyone who chooses to stand with these kids. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider. Your support truly means more than words can say.
