The Alabama Children's Justice Leadership Academy is a one-of-a-kind experience designed to bring elected officials and community leaders inside the real work of protecting children.

This is not a typical training. It is an immersive, hands-on opportunity to see how Children’s Advocacy Centers and multidisciplinary teams respond to child abuse, support families, and strengthen communities across our state.​

Participants will walk through:

• Simulated investigation

• Collaborate with professionals from multiple disciplines

• Gain a deeper understanding of how decisions at the local and state levels directly impact outcomes for children.​

 

From first response to prosecution and healing, the Academy highlights what it truly takes to pursue justice and why sustained investment in these systems matters.

Whether you are shaping policy, allocating resources, or leading in your community, the Children's Justice Leadership Academy equips you with the knowledge, perspective, and connections needed to make informed decisions that protect children and support families.

This is more than an event. It is a call to lead with purpose and to be part of a stronger, more coordinated response to child abuse in Alabama.

Graduates will receive a logo to add to their emails and websites, and counties with 100% participation will be designated as a Children's Justice Leadership County.
